Food Habits
It' hard to think that meat was banned at a time in Japan. In 700 AD meat was banned due to the rise of Buddhism. To get protein they ate fish which started sushi.
Foods America Tried
Many foods eaten in Japan aren't usually eaten in America. Some simple ones are though. Like yakisoba and sushi. I know a lot of my friends eat sushi. And my mom loves yakisoba
What time is dinner?
The meal schedule in Japan is pretty much the same as it is in America. They do eat dinner a little later though. Breakfast is around 8 or 9 am. They eat lunch around 12 and then dinner is eaten around 7 or 8.
Flavaaaaas
In my food I tasted a lot of different seasonings. In my yakisoba the little orange pieces were called Beni-Shouga. This is a pickled ginger used to flavor stuff. Lechante ordered the Okayu and it was flavored with shouga which is a root ginger.
